Effective September 1, 2026.
Rico Fresh Supermercado runs this website so you can see what we carry, what is on sale this week, and what our kitchen is cooking. This page explains what the site collects and what we do with it.
The short version
You cannot buy anything on this site, so we never take payment details. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not run advertising trackers.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you create an account, we store the name, email address and phone number you enter, the password you set, your ZIP code if you give it, and the date you agreed to our terms. If you opt in to marketing messages, we also keep the date you asked. Creating an account is optional — everything on the site is readable without one.
Your list. Items you save to My List are kept in your browser if you are not signed in, and stored with your account if you are.
Information collected automatically. Our server keeps standard access logs — IP address, browser, pages viewed, and timestamps. The store software also records how you arrived at the site, such as the page that referred you and any campaign tags in the link you followed.
What we never collect here. Payment card numbers, bank details, and government identifiers. There is no online checkout.
Cookies
Cookies are small files the site stores in your browser. We use them for two things:
- Keeping your list. So the items you save are still there when you come back.
- Understanding how people find us. The store software records the referring site and any campaign tags from the link you clicked.
You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. The site still works without them, but a list saved as a guest will not survive.
How we use it
- To show you the site and keep it working
- To keep your saved list available
- To recognise your account in store by its phone number, and to plan delivery and pickup by ZIP code
- To send you marketing and promotional messages — only if you asked us to
- To protect the site against abuse and fix problems
We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.
Who else sees it
We share personal information only with the companies that run the site for us — our web host, the developers who maintain it, and Cloudflare, whose Turnstile check tells us a form was filled in by a person rather than a bot — and only so they can do that work. We also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
No third-party advertising or analytics services are installed on this site, so no outside company tracks you across other websites from here. The Cloudflare check runs only on our sign-in, account-creation, password-reset and contact forms; it sees your IP address and how you interact with that form, and Cloudflare states it sets no cookies and does not use the data to build a profile of you.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for how sites should answer it, so this site does not respond to it. We do not track you across other websites regardless of the setting.
Your choices
- Clear cookies through your browser at any time.
- Ask us what account information we hold, correct it, or ask us to delete it — contact us using the details below.
- Stop marketing messages at any time — use the unsubscribe link, reply STOP to a text, or untick the box under Account details.
- Use the site without an account. Nothing is hidden behind sign-in.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted on the home page.
